My sister sent me this photo last night and it confirmed another reason why I belong in France. The parisian McDonalds carry the sweet little french cookies macarons for about 1.20$/each. Yes I know you can find macarons anywhere in France but now fast food joints have it.. pretty darn cool.. I am packing my bags, Paris here I come! It sounds better than "Would you like an apple pie with that?"

My next manicure: Moon Manicure at Ruffian
At Ruffian's Fall 2010 runway show, models wore an eclipsed moon manicure which is inspired by a vintage Vogue cover and the era of the 1940's. In this image, you can see the moon has been flipped, which is described as an “eclipse.” Here, the bottom layer is gold, layered on top with an opaque blue. This is my next manicure people!!!

Julia Chiang loves NY
I recently put up a post of an installation by the Brooklyn based artist Julia Chiang, I am mesmorized by her work. This friday, she is launching with The Standard NY an exclusive edition of 50 glazed porcelain apples. Chiang chose the apple because it is a symbol of desire and an icon of the city of New York.
The installation "One of Kind" shown in the last picture is made out of Ring Pop candy's that have been melted over time.

Fafi for Adidas Spring/Summer 2010
My favorite collaboration is at it again, Fafi is teaming up with Adidas for a Spring/Summer 2010 collection. I was already in love with the Fall 2009 collection but now I am drooling for this upcoming one! So many things to buy.....
" Unlike last collaborations with Adidas, I really wanted to be involved in graphic design as well as styling, all the pieces are inspired by my own closet, stuff I founded in vintage stores or during my trips. This is a very colorful spring/summer 2010 collection to celebrate the end of a cold winter, good times with friends, get noticed at airports and music festivals! ~ Fafi "

Alice + Olivia X Keds
I love collabs, I think you can gather that from my many postings... This time it is designer Alice + Olivia to partner up with Keds, for a fun glittering sneaker. The collection is four different colors (black, silver, pale pink and safari green) pairs of sequin-encrusted laceless slip-ons. They sell for $88US. Is Alice + Olivia for Keds just one step towards Keds' intended fashion-forward repositioning? Most likely, since Keds has future collaborations with designer already in the works..stay tuned!

Sad news for Modern Amusement. The contemporary sportswear label has ceased operations, effective immediately. The brand will not make its Spring deliveries, leaving retailers such as Saks Fifth Avenue, Nordstrom, Holt Renfrew and Neiman Marcus looking for replacements.
